Water quality surveillance This project aims at determining water quality and the condition of the main rivers of the watershed. It includes water quality sampling, an inventory of potential polluting sources and a description of water course habitat characteristics. This project is part of the Water Classification Program of New-Brunswick.

Bottle distribution service for water analysis Since December 2003, our organisation offers the population and well owners a service of bottle distribution for water analysis. Everyone can get the material and the necessary information at our offices located in the Cap-Pelé municipal building.   Beach Sweep Once or twice a year our group invites the community to help us clean the beaches and riverbanks. This activity aims to inform and educate the public about the importance of conserving our own environment and better managing our waste. Dune restoration project (**New**: the newstory "Sapins sur plage" on Radio-Canada's La semaine Verte) The Cap-Pele Watershed Group has recently finished the second phase of the Dune restoration project. This project, which was initiated in 2005, aims to develop strategies to better protect the dunes at Aboiteau Beach in Cap-Pelé. Restoration projects Every year our organization coordinates various restoration projects with the hope of better controlling the pollution in our watercourses as well as preventing their deterioration. These projects consist of stabilizing riverbanks, controlling excessive amounts of sediment and attempting to improve fish habitats. In the summer of 2005 an initiative was undertaken to improve the fish habitats in the Tedish River (see the restoration project document).    Newsletter Twice a year, our organization publishes a newsletter to inform the population of activities and projects underway. The newsletter also serves as an information tool on environmental questions.

Community awareness Our group organises presentations and information kiosks to raise public awareness on the healthy management of our water resources.

Education program An adapted education program is offered to school groups in the region in order to raise the awareness of notions linked to the water cycle, the hydrological basin, flora and fauna and human impact.
